The Apple ecosystem is dying and we’re not sure why, says Paul Ryan, CTO of mobile software company Vibe.
Ryan talks about how Google and Apple are both doing a poor job of supporting the software ecosystem and how he believes Apple is in the wrong to have its own apps.
The Apple ecosystem will die with the end of the iPhone, he says.
Vibe is now one of the biggest players in the Apple ecosystem, and has developed Android and iOS apps that run on the devices.
Ryan’s statement comes as Apple’s iOS platform is gaining popularity with developers.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has said that the company plans to make apps for iOS devices and that developers will have to make their apps for both platforms.
Ryan says that he is “absolutely convinced” that the Apple app store is in trouble, and believes that the app developers will eventually need to be able to use third-party developers for their apps.
Ryan’s comments come after the company made an announcement earlier this week about its plans to release iOS 9.
