A hacker has managed to hack the Galaxy Note7 smartphone and reset its user data, causing an embarrassing hack.
The hack was carried out by a hacker known as “Stanley Battery,” who was found to be an employee of Samsung Electronics.
Stanleys account has been compromised, the hacker wrote on Twitter.
The hacking occurred on February 20.
The hack requires a user to enter a password in order to access the phone’s user data.
Samsung has issued a statement saying that it has temporarily disabled access to all Samsung devices in the U.S. after discovering the breach.
The company has not said whether the hack will be fixed for now.
