The MacBook Pro is a laptop with a large number of hard drive partitions, and it’s not easy to find the correct one for your Mac.
To fix this problem, you can use the Mac OS X Installer to create a new partition on your computer and then manually delete the partition from the OS X partition list in System Preferences.
In addition, you might need to create the new partition manually if you have a large Mac, as it will require some additional disk space.

To delete the operating system partition on each Mac you use, use the Disk Utility tool.
Use this command to delete an existing partition on Macs: Disk Utility diskutil list-partition This command lists the existing partition and shows which partition is the new one.
In the example below, I’m using the -partition option to delete a partition named “MacBook-1”.
The command lists three partitions: “Mac”, “System”, and “Applications”.
I have two OS partitions, Mac1 and Mac2.
Disk Utility also lists the names of the partition types, the sizes, and the types of partitions.

The Disk Utility output shows that the partition number in Mac1 is “1,024”, and that the name of the new Mac is “Mac”.
